Shawn

Shawn has gone through a series of ups and downs in his life. His mother died when he was 17, and his father was not in his life. "I had no guidance," he said. Homeless, Shawn sought help from Camillus House. "Everyone treated me so well. I really felt they had my best interests at heart." Enrolled in the Camillus House Job Opportunity Bureau, Shawn got the skills he needed to find a full-time job and his own apartment. He also hopes to further his education so he can help people, particularly the emotionally disabled. When asked how it felt to work hard and turn his life around, Shawn said, "I never felt so good in my life."
