Emergency Shelter

Camillus House’s emergency shelter provides individuals with temporary housing for a period of 1-90 days, depending upon the needs of the person. This type of housing provides individuals who are homeless with an immediate place to get off the streets, and also serves as an entry point into Camillus House’s continuum of care.

For many individuals, it is during their stay here that their needs are assessed, including the need for substance abuse treatment, mental health services, employment assistance, and other help.

Naming rights for the Emergency Shelter is $2 million and supports:

  • the construction of a 48-bed facility with support infrastructure
  • the expansion of services for women and Spanish speaking individuals
