Day Center
The Day Center offers individuals who are homeless a safe, clean and dignified daytime retreat. This low-demand engagement model provides a wide range of daily activities such as life skills education classes, history classes, movies, showers, and snacks.
Integrated into Camillus House’s others programs, the Day Center offers a welcoming, non-threatening pathway for individuals to connect with other services while building trust and rapport with staff. The program has proven to be a highly effective tool for engaging the chronically homeless population into more extensive services such as substance abuse and/or mental health treatment.
Naming rights for the Day Center program is $1.2 million and supports:
- the construction of the Day Center facility with support infrastructure
- an operational endowment
